You must know these simple, yet crucial things before hand, as later on, in case you mess up setting your Payee Name (specially in the countries listed below), you would find your self in a hot soup.
And trust me, its dam Hot!

What is AdSense Payee Name?
Before we move on discussing anything, let just quickly see what AdSense Payee name refers to. Once you create your AdSense account, you are supposed to fill a tidy form. A field labeled 'Payee Name' lets you define the owner of the cheque that you'll receive.
How To Choose Payee Name?
Make sure your AdSense Payee name is the one for which you have a bank account or you're looking to make an account in future. In case you don't have an account, you would want to set it to a name for which you have a government issued ID card, through which you can make out an bank account for your self.
So in simple words, if you have a bank account already before setting Payee name:
Make sure your payee name matches that bank account name. And by matches we mean totally matches. A single character mistake can make your hairs go white while searching for a solution later on if anything messes up in case of a wrong payee name.
So DO make sure that you set it right, the very first time.
If you have to open a bank account later:
Make sure you set a payee name that you can later match with your government issued ID card through which you'll open your bank account.
Your Payee name MUST match your bank account title = Success!
and account title MUST match government ID card = Obvious!
What if you set Payee name wrong?
In case you set the spellings wrong of the same payee name, minor changes are possible, but i wont recommend putting your eggs into that basket. Its the most horrible side of the story and even though AdSense team tries their level best to respond to the inquires in AdSense support forum, its very common to wait for no less than 15 days to 1 month to get a reply, even if your case is genuine.
How can AdSense team help you in case things goes wrong?
If you find your self in a position where you set your AdSense Payee name wrong, you can reach out to AdSense forum and in case your case is solid, you'll get a reply from them, telling that they can help you out in changing your Payee name.
But! thats only possible when:
- Your a one lucky Person!
- Your Payee name needs minor changes
What are minor changes to Payee Name?
A whole set of name change is not obviously a minor change. AdSense team could only help you out in a case where you have misspelled your Payee name or swapped words in the name its self. Like first name last or vice versa.
These are the cases that makes sure that the person is same and just needs adjustments in the same name. Other wise, changing of Payee name as a whole, i.e to a new person's name is NOT POSSIBLE.
